Using European manufactured porcelain, Marianne throws all forms off the wheel. Once the pieces are leather hard, she draws and scratches into the surface with a fine tool. The lines are then filled with oxides and under glazes and rubbed back to reveal the character and texture of the drawing, much like a printmaker.
